Makhana's (also called as Fox Nuts) have tons of health benefits. Raw as they come, they are not that tasty and have a bland flavor. The recipe given below will add some nice punchy flavor to your Makhanas. The recipe is very simple and will not take much time to prepare.
These can also be stored for around 15-20 days in an airtight container so that you can eat it whenever you like.

Recipe Details

  • Serves: 2 people
  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 4 minutes

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 Bowl - Makhanas
  • 6 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1 tbsp - Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp - Salt
  • 1 tbsp - Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp - Amchur Powder (Raw Mango Powder)

Instructions

1: In a Wok or a large heat some ghee until it just starts to melt.

2: Add the Makhanas and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute. If you want them to be extra crispy, you can fry for 2 minutes.

3: Lower the heat and add Red Chilli Powder, Black Pepper, Salt and Amchur Powder.

4: Fry on a low heat for not more than 30 secs. Keep stirring continuously during this last step.

5: Turn off the heat and enjoy your Spicy Makhanas.
