Chicken Capsicum Curry Recipe

Nothing can beat the combination of Chicken and Capsicum. The rich taste of chicken along with the aroma of Capsicum is just mouth watering and stomach filling. Below is a simple Chicken Capsicum curry recipe that can be made within an hour. The ingredients required are very minimal and hence you do not have to run to a store to find them.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 400 grams - Chicken Cut into medium size pieces with bone
  • 3 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - Turmeric Powder
  • 5 cups - Water
  • 3 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 tbsp - Salt
  • 1 tbsp - Chicken masala any brand is fine
  • 1 tbsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1 medium size - Capsicum chopped into small cubes
  • 1 medium size - Tomato Finely Chopped
  • 1 medium size - Onion Finely Chopped

Instructions

1: Wash the chicken pieces for 2-3 times in running water. Drain all the water from the chicken pieces and keep them aside.

2: Heat 3tbsp oil in a Cooker and add the Chopped onion to it. Let it fry till the onion turns Golden Brown. Then add 5 cups of water with a tbsp of Salt to it along with the marinated chicken. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles on a high flame and then turn off the heat.

3: In a separate Kadhai, heat 3tbsp of oil and add the chopped capsicum, tomato along with the masalas [Chilli powder, chicken masala, ginger garlic paste]. Saute this on a low flame for around 5 minutes.

4: Next, add the chicken that we had cooked earlier along with the stock water to the Kadhai. Mix everything well and cover the Kadhai with a lid. Cook this on a low flame for around 4 minutes and your Chicken Capsicum Curry is ready.
