Palak Paneer Recipe, Butter Palak Paneer

Palak Paneer is one of the most loved veg food item. This has a lot of health benefits and is recommended for all. Since we are adding Paneer, kids would not mind eating this.

Recipe Details

Recipe Ingredients

  • 15 cups - Leaves of Palak
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 4 - garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp - garam masala
  • 1/2 tbsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - red chilly powder
  • 1 cup - Paneer Cut in cubes
  • 1 tbsp - Salt
  • 2 tbsp - Cream
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 large - tomato finely chopped
  • 1 large - Onion finely chopped


1: Wash the palak leaves in Fresh running water and add the leaves in a large container with water in it. Add some salt to it and boil it for around 10 minutes.

2: Drain the hot water after 10minutes and add some cold water in the vessel. This will help in preserving the green color of Palak.

3: In a mixer grinder, grind together Palak leaves, chopped ginger and 4-5 garlic cloves and keep this mixture aside. Ensure that you get a thick paste. Do not add water while mixing these ingredients together.

4: Heat Butter in a Kadhai. Add some jira in the Kadhai and then add a Bay Leaf in it and keep it on a low flame for a minute.

5: Next add the chopped onions and fry till the onions turn golden brown.

6: Next, add the chopped tomato and fry for a minute or two. Ensure that you keep stirring while the tomato gets fried.

7: Now add the Palak Puree that we had created earlier and salt for taste and keep it on a low flame for around 10 minutes. You do not need to cover the Kadhai with a lid,

8: While the Palak is getting cooked, in a tawa heat some oil and add the Paneer cubes in it. Fry for about a minute and then move them to the Kadhai.

9: That is it, turn off the stove and your Palak Paneer should be ready.
