- Serves: 1 Person
- Preparation Time: 5 minutes
- Cooking Time: 15 minutes
- 300 grams - Chicken
- 4 tbsp - Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp - Oil
- 1/2 tbsp - Salt
- 1 Glass - Water 300 ml
- 1 large - Onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp - Black Peppercorns
- 1/2 tbsp - Tumeric powder
- 1-2 - Small Cinammon Sticks
- 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Cup - Coriander Leaves
1: Wash the chicken pieces well in running water and then coat them with lemon juice and turmeric powder. Keep this aside in the fridge for around 3-4 hours.
Please ensure that you do not add a lot of turmeric powder. 1/2 tbsp is more than enough. Adding too much of turmeric powder is not good for health and also makes the soup taste bitter.
2: Now, in a cooker heat some oil and add the peppercorns, cinammon stick, chopped onion and ginger garlic paste in it. Saute this for 2 mins on a low flame or until the onions turn golden brown.
3: Next, add the marinated chicken pieces and Coriander leaves into the cooker and stir for about 30 secs. Add correct amount of salt and a glass of water.
4: Close the lid of the cooker and cook until 4 whistles are done. The first whistle should happen on a high flame and the rest on a medium flame/heat.
5: After 4 whistles, let the cooker cool down and then you can enjoy your home made Alni Chicken Soup.
